Tis the Pseason to be Psycho!

It's the 12 Donuts of Christmas - our annual twisted take on holiday donuts - inspired by injured reindeer and drunken Psantas!

But first this! A big thanks to our friends at The Silicon Valley
Business Journal for their crazy article on The Bermuda Triangle of Entertainment in San Jose.

What kind of gifts are you buying this year? What will you pstuff in those pstockings? We've got some crazy ideas for you! If you coul
d wrap up the raw spirit of Psycho Donuts in print, what you'd have is our 2011 Psycho Nurse Calendar! Professional and bordering on the bizarre - the Psycho Nurse calendar captures our nurses in captivating and unusual poses, and so much more. Get yours for only $9.95 through Christmas Eve. It comes with over $66 in coupons!

How about pstuffing the good kid's pstockings with Psycho Donuts gift certificates. Get one at Psycho Campbell or Psycho San Jose!

At Psycho Donuts, we're especially fond of the bad kids. Give your naughty kids a Lump of Coal! For a buck a lump, you'll get a charcoal sized donut topped with Oreo dust and filled with eggnog custard. What better gift is there for the naughty ones on your list?

Have you regifted this year? The Chief Psycho is guilty of regifting a Chia Pet already (true story).

We almost called our Fruitcake donut "The Regifter." Because who really eats fruitcake, unless it's a donut topped with a variety of freeze dried fruits like strawberries, blueberries, and bananas!

Who remembers Billy Bob Thornton as Bad Santa? We've got a donut in his image. Our Bad Psanta donut is filled with an eggnog and brandy custard.

In the clever words of Frank Zappa, "Watch out where the huskies go, and don't you eat that yellow snow." This Christmas, we challenge you to eat Yellow Snow - our lemon coconut topped Christmas pspecialty.

Misfit Island recalls the adventures of outcasts in Rudolph the Rednosed Reindeer. Our Misfit Island donut brings together the outcast dust of Oreos, Captain Crunch, and freeze dried strawberries. It'll make you feel right at home.

And of course, our holiday version of Headbanger is Grandma's Revenge. After getting run over by a reindeer annually for the past 50 years, grandma took matters into her own hands this year, and this reindeer donut won't be pulling any psanta psleights this year.

And that's not all. We have snowman donuts and Christmas Tree Donuts. Check out Raising Cane - our candy cane-topped donut; and how about Cupid Poop'ed - our chocolate filled donut, topped with chocolate covered, um, raisins.

Have yourself a crazy little Christmas - from all of us at Psycho Donuts!

Santa Go-Round
Sunday, December 12 Downtown San Jose

Psycho San Jose is thrilled to be part of the Santa Go-Round. Picture a bunch of crazy people who dress like a Santa and go check out cool stuff downtown in Ho-Ho-Ho style. Come to Psycho San Jose dressed like a Santa on Sunday December 12 - and special psycho discounts await you!

The rumors are true! Recently, The Flying Kazamarov Brothers performed at the San Jose Rep. They stopped at Psycho Donuts and became great friends with Nurse Stephanie. One thing led to another, and the brothers juggled a box of Psycho Donuts on-stage. Psycho San Jose manager Ben caught the action live.

And finally, be sure to catch some great live performances at The Retrodome. Catch their hilarious Hanukkah Show - Meshugganutcracker - this week only. And while you're there, you'll find some Psycho Sufganiyot for sale during your performance. You can run, but you can't hide from Psycho Donuts!

Can't Have Yer Pudding if You Don't Eat Yer Meat!

What can be better than the return of Roger Waters to The Bay Area - performing The Wall from start to finish? We can't top that; but we can top some donuts in honor of Chief Psycho's favorite band of all time! Come get 'em only on Roger Waters concert dates - Friday Dec 3, Monday Dec 6, and Wednesday Dec 8. And listen in as Chief Psycho talks to Greg Kihn on KFOX radio 98.5 fm - Monday morning November 29 at 8:45am.

So Ya Thought Ya... Might Like To... Get Some Fried Dough?
...Ok then, the show must go on...

Mother Do You Think They'll Drop the Bomb? Let's hope it's THE BOMB from Psycho Donuts - a chocolate filled bomb, with a Oreo dust detonator. Guaranteed to keep baby cozy and warm! Hush, Psycho's gonna help build a Wall (cue guitar solo).

I have become Comfortably Numb. And one of our do
nuts has too! Comfortably Numb is the quintessential rock star donut suffering from a breakdown. He's wearing a powdered sugar straitjacket and is filled with chocolate. Hurry and get one before they're a distant shipsmoke on the horizon.

Since, my friend, you have revealed your deepest fears, I sentence you to eat a donut that's weird! Our Judge donut bears quite a resemblance to the original, don't you think? The Judge donut will be
in very short supply; the picture may be as close as you'll get to this mean worm of a donut!

Tear Down the Wall! All alone or in twos, our donuts really love you. Our Wall donut is a symbolic wall of vanilla icing and chocolate brick mortar, filled with raspberry jelly. You'll love banging your head against this mad donut wall.

Scream! There's no dark sarcasm in this donut shop! Come check our donuts inspired by Roger Water's visit to The Bay Area! All in all it's just another donut about The Wall...

Get your Wall donuts before The Wall show (on 12/3, 12/6, and 12/8 only) at Psycho Donuts Campbell or San Jose - and be sure to catch the legendary performance of Roger Waters in the coming week!

Holidays are Making us Crazy!

Holiday stress making you crazy already? Come get a Crazy Good holiday donut and spend some time decompressing in the Psycho Padded Cell! If there was ever a time to go Psycho, it's during the holidays!

At Psycho Donuts, we celebrate 'Misgiving' instead of Thanksgiving. And we have some Pserious Misgivings for you! Let's kick it off with The
Punkin' Spice Latte! Wanna make your own? Here's how: fill it up with spiced pumpkin, and top it with a coffee and cinnamon icing.

What holiday dinner is complete without sweet potatoes, or in this case, The
Sweet Potato Donut. This crazed concoction is a raised donut topped with torched marshmallows (torched as in 'welding torch'), graham crackers, and a pumpkin spice filling.

For dessert how about some Punkin' Pie? Our
Punkin' Pie Donut has a pumpkin filling, and is topped with maple icing and crushed graham crackers. Looking to jazz it up a bit? Ask the Nurse on Duty for a shot of whipped cream!

And there ya have it - except one very important thing. One of the best parts of the holiday is all the leftov
er concoctions. Turkey soup, turkey casserole and turkey sandwiches. We donut want you to miss out, so we are pleased to bring you The Thanksgiving Leftover Psandwich. The Mayflower may have been motivated to arrive sooner if this donut were waiting on the Plymouth Shores. It's a raised sesame-seed donut bun, filled with cranberry sauce, pumpkin spice, cake donut stuffing, maple icing, and turkey bacon. It's like a Thanksgiving Everlasting Gobstopper!

Thanksgiving will soon give way to Hanukkah. And this year, we are pleased to bring
Sufganiyot to those who rock around the Hanukkah bush. Is it kosher? Get real... but it sure looks and tastes good. Serve it to your kosher friends - they'll never know any different! To your left is a picture of our traditional Sufganiyot. Stay tuned for details as we finalize our 'Psycho Psufganiyot' option as well. Sufganiyot is available via online advance purchase only. Order yours today!

Tell your calendar that Psycho Campbell will be closed on Thanksgiving Day. Psycho San Jose will be open on Thanksgiving Day for movie concessions only.

On Black Friday, kick off your shopping insanity with a stop at Psycho Donuts, where you can pick up our 2011 Psycho Nurse Calendar for only $9.95, a Black Friday pspecial (regularly $13). It comes with over $66 in coupons. The smart ones gift the calendar but keep the coupons!

Psycho Beer Psmoothies and Christmas Art Event

Psycho San Jose is manically operational and running psmoothly. And speaking of all things psmooth, we are giddy to announce our new Psycho Beer Psmoothie! What did you expect from us, a wine spritzer?!

The Psycho Beer Psmoothie combines beer, several members from the diverse lime family, and a few other crazy ingredients. The result is a
surprisingly smooth, almost-tropical taste that will psurprise you. Come try a Psycho Beer Psmoothie - only at Psycho San Jose!

Crazy things are happening at Psycho Campbell too! As the holiday season winds up, Psycho Donuts is insanely happy to announce our annual Christmas art event:

Have Yourself a Crazy Little Christmas!

Sunday, December 12; 10am - 2pm

Come check out original off-beat artwork for sale from super-talented local artists like Christine Benjamin, Deborah Barba, Carlos Villez, John Hageman, Sheri DeBow, Kurtis Rykovich, Lacey Bryant, Laura Collin Bennett, Michael Foley, Michelle Waters, Nicolas Caesar, and Christian Cinder - to name more than a few!

The art event coincides with our launch of Psycho Christmas Donut Series - Year 2. You'll see donuts from Psycho Christmas Past - who remembers Jingle Balls? What about Grandma's Revenge? You'll also meet some donuts from Psycho Christmas Future, who will make their crazy debut at the event.

And bring your crazy singing voice - because Bruce Rogers of Korkaoke will lead us through our favorite psychtivity - karaoke in the padded cell. Come join the fun at Psycho Donuts Campbell for Have Yourself a Crazy Little Christmas - Sunday, December 12, from 10am - 2pm.

The rumors are true. On Saturday night, The Flying Karamazov Brothers performed at the San Jose Rep. But what world renowned juggling act is complete without the obligatory juggling of a Dozen Psycho Donuts. While the Chief Psycho wasn't there to witness the spectacle, eyewitnesses report a box of Psycho Donuts exploding in mid-air. Kids, don't try this at home - but if you do, clean up before your parents find out!

And finally, our own Nurse Sholley was in an accident this weekend. We look forward to Sholley's imminent return to the Psycho Nursing Rounds soon, and a psuper pspeedy recovery!

A Hunka Hunka Donut Love

The suspicious minds at Psycho Donuts are all shook up to bring you this week's hunka hunka donut love -- THE DEAD ELVIS! Elvis fans know that The King's favorite sandwich contained crispy bacon, bananas, peanut butter and jelly. This sandwich has been replicated at cafes around the country. We've even seen The Elvis in ice cream form. So why not donutize Elvis?

The DEAD ELVIS is custard on the inside and glaze on the outside. It's topped with Elvis' favorite concoctions -- crispy bacon, bananas, peanut butter and jelly! Come get one this week at Psycho Donuts in Campbell and San J

A big thanks to our Nurse Models, artists, and fans who joined us Friday night for the Psycho Nurse Calendar Launch Event. Along with a constant flow of bloodied zombies (from the Campbell Zombie Crawl), the event was crazy fun. A big thanks to Marc Arsenault of WowCool for creating the calendar, the launch event, and the marketing elements behind this year's most unusual gift item! Pick up your Psycho Nurse Calendar at Psycho Donuts, or buy one

Finally - donut miss this week's cult movie - ZARDOZ - at Psycho San Jose and Camera 3. Grab a crazy donut and watch an insane movie this Thursday night at 9pm. Go back in time and watch a young Sean Connery take control of a post-apocolyptic future. Get your tickets from Camera 3! Zardoz has spoken!

Psycho Calendar Makes Weird News

Monica Garske has the insanely fun job of writing the "Weird" column for AOL. Whenever Psycho Donuts is 'strangely interesting' enough to intrigue the writer of a Weird column, it puts a smile on the Chief Psycho's face. And The 2011 Psycho Nurse 13-Month Calendar inspired Monica to write a Psycho Pstory! I guess that a 2011 calendar inspired by crazy antics of Psycho donut nurses, paranoid pastries, and demented original artwork is enough to attract the weird news. Big thanks to Monica for the article, and to Marc Arsenault of WowCool - creator of the Calendar.

The Psycho Calendar Launch Event!
Friday Nov 5, 7 - 9pm
Psycho Campbell and Psycho San Jose
If you're thinking about intriguing and unusual gifts for your friends this coming holiday season, the Psycho Calendar is a mandatory expenditure! This Friday night, November 5 - come to our Psycho Calendar Launch Event, from 7 - 9pm, at Psycho Campbell and Psycho San Jose. Have your calendar autographed by one of our Psycho Nurse models or artists! It might be worth $13.50 someday on Ebay! Or maybe it'll just be the coolest calendar you ever bought. And if you're not local but still want a Psycho Calendar, pick one up online!

If you're in San Jose this Friday night, check out the amazing artwalk that is South First Fridays! Psycho San Jose is giddy to be the newest member of South First Fridays. Stop by and check out the crazy artwork at Psycho San Jose this Friday night, November 5.
Halloween weekend was beyond crazy at Psycho Donuts. Did you catch our 2nd Annual Bobbing for Donuts Competition? Congrats to our winners, Jessica "Sprout" McCarthy and Martin Antolini. A big thanks to all of our competitors, and to our friends (roommates?) at ComedySportz - emcees for the crazy competition. And to the StarNectar BMX team, who turned the Psycho parking lot into a ramp for bike tricks.

Did you get your mouth on one of our Halloween donuts? We had the craziest green donuts of the year. Body part donuts, spider donuts, and more!

Cult Movie Thursdays at 9pm!

This Thursday night at Psycho San Jose and Camera 3, it's Pulp Fiction! Join us for another great cult movie, and see what kind of donuts the psychos are inspired to make for the occasion!

Psycho Halloween is Almost Here!

Halloween is almost here; and crazy donuts are on the way! More about our crazy Halloween donuts soon. The nurses are getting ready too. Check out Nurse Stephanie's zombie look a couple nights ago at Psycho San Jose!

Bobbing for Donuts!
1pm - Psycho Campbell
3pm - Psycho San Jose
We're a week away from our Halloween tradition - Bobbing for Donuts. Who will dunk their heads in a trough of donut glaze to pull out the most donut holes? Come check it out on Halloween Day - at both Psycho locations. Wanna participate? We may still have space available! Send us an email and tell us why we should select you to participate!
Also, check out Psycho Scarioke, at Psycho Campbell - Halloween morning at 10am -- with our good friend Bruce Rogers.
Our Psycho Giants keep coming - at least until the Giants win it all! Check out all the Psycho Giants Donuts here. KNTV liked them so much, they put Nurse Johnette on the news, which coincided with Johnette's 21st birthday. Happy Birthday Johnette - you're crazy!

Cult Movies are jamming at Camera 3 and Psycho San Jose, every Thursday night at 9pm. Last week it was The Big Lebowski. Did you come for The White Russian Donut? This week's cult movie is Stanley Kubrick's A Clockwork Orange. Descend into madness with a crazy Clockwork donut in hand!

And speaking of crazy cult movies... this Saturday night it's The Rocky Horror Picture Show, with live cast Barely Legal. If you missed the last one, you also missed the collection of Rocky Donuts that added a wild twist to an already wild event. It'll be even better than watching Glee perform Rocky Horror, we promise! The pre-show begins at 11:30pm Saturday night, October 30. And LIPS will appear on screen at the stroke of midnight! Psycho Donuts and Rocky Horror together, helping to usher in the start of Halloween at midnight? You gotta be there!
Looking for some really crazy fun during the afternoons on Halloween weekend? Check out The Summit to the Sea wine tasting event. Three wineries will be pairing Psycho Donuts with equally crazy wines from Burrell School Vineyards, Loma Prieta Winery, and Poetic Cellars.

Finally, our good friend - The Slow Poisoner - came to perform his surreal, one-man show at Psycho Campbell on Saturday morning. All in attendance were poisoned quite well. We hope to see Slow at our San Jose store soon!

Giants Donuts, Nurse Zombies, and Entrepreneur Magazine!

Psycho Fans - Nurse Johnette created 4 donuts in honor of the Giants Psycho Psuccess in the playoffs.

Bust a Posey, Lincey's Back, Feared Beard, and Panda-Monium. Come get a Giants donut
this week at Psycho Donuts Campbell and Psycho San Jose.

And pspeaking of Psycho San Jose - we'd like to welcome a couple of new Psycho Nurses. We'll recognize the others once we capture a psnapshot!
Please extend a Psycho welcome to Nurse Yllys, Nurse Erika, and Nurse Ben!

It's not easy being a Psycho Nurse in San Jose during October. Not only do you have to serve crazy donuts, make killer coffee drinks and serve beer and wine, you also need to add Psycho flair to your nursely image. Erika came as 'Nurse Chaplain' (which was mistaken by some to be Nurse Adolph).

And speaking of cool things at Psycho San Jose, this week's Cult Movie: The Man Who Fell To Earth. What an amazing movie, featuring David Bowie in his first starring film role. Based on the amazing sci-fi book by Walter Tevis, the movie was absolutely true to the book. Chief Psycho highly recommends this film. Check it out Thursday night, October 14 at 9pm at Psycho San Jose and Camera 3.

Lots of great things happening at the Psycho Mother Ship (PMS?) in Campbell too. Nurses Dylan and Fionna recently competed and won Best Zombie in The Zombie Crawl. If Nurse Dylan didn't shock you with her recent Lady Gaga antics, her putrified eye should upset you plenty.

Psycho continues to generate pspectacular press. Check the October issue of Entrepreneur for a full-page pfoto of Psycho insanity, or read the online version. MSN News on Main also covered the Psycho pstory. And check out Psycho Donuts listed in 365 Things To Do in Silicon Valley!

Hope to see you at Psycho Donuts soon!
